Which PDF tool has no ads?
PDFinish shows no ads: no third-party advertising, no ad cookies and no data sold. You get 2 free uses in total, no account needed, and the only thing we suggest is our own Pro plan, when your free uses are used up. Some other tools say on their own pages that they show ads; the table below shows who says what, and when we read it.

How PDFinish is paid for
Not by advertisers. PDFinish earns from Pro: $2.99 a month, $24 a year, or $50 once for the first 500 founders. That 500-seat cap is real, and the pricing page shows how many seats are left.
If you reach the free-use limit, we tell you about Pro. That is the only thing we suggest.
What “no ads” means here
- No ad scripts load on our pages, and a check on every page of the site fails if one ever does.
- No ad cookies are set.
- We do not sell your data. Most tools run in your browser, so your files stay on your device.
What each product's own pages say about ads
We repeat only what each product's own page says, as of October 2026, with the link and the date we read it. Prices and plans change, so check the page itself.
| Product | What its own page says | Source and date read |
|---|---|---|
| iLovePDF | Lists an "Ad-free experience" as a Premium feature, and the Premium FAQ says Premium "removes ads". The free Basic list does not list it. | ilovepdf.com/pricing Read |
| PDF24 | Says its online tools are free and "financed by means of discreet advertising on the websites". | tools.pdf24.org/en/faq Read |
| PDFescape | Lists "An Ad Free Interface" as a feature of its paid plans. | pdfescape.com/what/premium/ Read |
| PDF Candy | Lists "No ads" in its free plan. We do not claim to be the only tool with no ads. | pdfcandy.com/pricing.html Read |
| Adobe Acrobat Reader | Shows in-product marketing messages from Adobe about features, updates and online services on its Welcome Screen and while you view a document. Adobe says you can turn them off under Preferences > General > Messages From Adobe. These are Adobe's own messages, not third-party ads. | helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/messages.html Read |
Only products whose own pages say something about ads or marketing messages are listed. Smallpdf and Sejda say nothing on the pages we read, and Soda PDF's site asks automated readers to stay out, so they are left out rather than guessed at.
Using Acrobat Reader? Here is how to turn off the messages in Adobe Acrobat Reader, from Adobe's own help page.
