Edit a PDF
To edit a PDF, add the file, then place text, shapes, pictures, checkmarks or a date on the pages and download the result. Everything runs in your browser, so the document stays on your device.
Each finished file counts as one task. Your count starts again every day. A free account raises the limit to 10 a day.

Why use PDFinish for Edit PDF
Your files stay on your device
Your edits are made in your browser tab. The PDF and what you type never leave your device.
Straight about what it does
Edits are added on top of the page. To change existing text, cover it with Whiteout and type over it. The original text stays in the file underneath, and we say so on the page.
No sign-up to begin
Your first 2 tasks each day need no account. Add an email later if you want 10 a day.
Honest pricing
Free to start. Pro starts at $2.99 a month and cancels in one click. We show your usage from the first page load and check limits before a task begins, never after.
Common questions
Can I change the text that is already in the PDF?
Not directly. PDFinish adds new content on top of the page. To change a word, cover it with Whiteout and type over it. The original text is still in the file underneath, so do not use this to hide private information.
What can I add to a page?
Text, whiteout boxes, rectangles, lines, checkmarks, X marks, pictures, your signature or initials, and a date. You can move, resize and recolor them, and undo or redo any step.
Can I add my own picture or logo?
Yes. Choose Picture and pick a PNG or JPG from your device, then place and resize it on the page.
Why does it say some characters cannot be drawn?
Text boxes can draw Latin letters (including accented ones), Greek and Cyrillic letters, numbers and common symbols. They cannot draw Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Indic scripts or emoji yet. If a text box has one of those characters, the tool tells you and asks you to change it before you save.
Is this the right tool for a form with fields?
If the PDF has real form fields, Fill PDF is quicker because you type straight into each field. Use Edit PDF when the form has no fields or you need to mark up anything else.
Is my file uploaded when I use Edit PDF?
No. Your pages are drawn and edited in your browser. The file is not sent to our servers.
Is Edit PDF free, and are there limits?
You can use it free. Without an account you get 2 tasks a day, and a free account (just an email address) raises that to 10. Free files can be up to 50 MB. Pro removes the daily limit and allows files up to 500 MB. We check the limits before a task starts, so a finished file is never held back.
