Common questions

When should I pick PNG over JPG?

Pick PNG for pages with small text, tables or line art, where sharp edges matter. Pick JPG for photos, where smaller files matter more.

Do I get one PNG for each page?

Yes. Each page becomes its own PNG, and the images arrive together in one zip file. If you pick a single page, you get just that image.

How big will the PNG files be?

PNG files are usually larger than JPG files, and High (300 DPI) is larger again. Use Normal (150 DPI) when you only need to view the page on a screen.

Can I convert only some pages?

Yes. Pick the pages you want before you convert.

Is my file uploaded when I use PDF to PNG?

No. Your pages are drawn and saved as images in your browser. The file is not sent to our servers.

Is PDF to PNG free, and are there limits?

You can use it free. Without an account you get 2 tasks a day, and a free account (just an email address) raises that to 10. Free files can be up to 50 MB. Pro removes the daily limit and allows files up to 500 MB. We check the limits before a task starts, so a finished file is never held back.
