Copyright and DMCA

Last updated: October 23, 2026

We respect creators. This page explains how to tell us about content you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if you think a report was a mistake.

1. Where this applies

Most PDFinish tools work on your device, and we do not host or see your files. This process covers anything we do host, such as content on our own pages, and any future feature that stores or shares user files.

2. How to send a notice

To report infringing content, send a written notice to our designated agent (below) that includes:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • a description of the copyrighted work you say was infringed;
  • the exact web address (URL) of the material, so we can find it;
  • your name, address, phone number and email;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

A notice that leaves out these items may not be acted on. Please know that knowingly making false claims can have legal consequences.

3. What we do

When we get a complete notice, we will remove or disable access to the material, tell the person who posted it where we can, and keep a record. We may remove content or close accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.

4. Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice that includes:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • a description of the material and where it appeared before removal;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address and will accept legal papers from the person who sent the original notice.

We will send your counter-notice to the person who made the original report. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have started a court action, we may restore the material.

5. Designated agent

PDFinish is run by its founder as a sole proprietorship in California. Send notices and counter-notices to the founder at the email address below.

Email: hello@pdfinish.com.

6. Our own content

PDFinish names, logo and site content belong to PDFinish. Templates are provided for your own use. You may fill in, share and print a template, but please do not resell it as your own product.
