PDFinish

A DocuSign alternative for simple signing

PDFinish lets you sign your own PDFs in your browser today. Sending a document for other people to sign is not available yet, and you can join the waitlist.

Written as of October 2026.

Why people look for a DocuSign alternative

DocuSign is built for sending documents to other people and tracking who signed. Freelancers and small landlords often only need to sign one document themselves, and a full signing service can feel like more than they need.

Others are price conscious and want something they pay for only when they use it.

When PDFinish fits

  • You need to put your own signature, initials or date on a PDF.
  • You want to do it in a browser tab without printing and scanning.
  • You want the document to stay on your device.

When it does not

  • You need to send a contract to a client and collect their signature. PDFinish cannot do that yet. Request Signatures is a paid add-on on the waitlist.
  • You need an audit trail or certificate-based digital signature. PDFinish places an image of your signature on the page, which is not a certificate-based signature.
  • You need to know if a signature is legally accepted for a particular document. That depends on the document and your local rules. This is general information, not legal advice, so check local rules or ask a professional.
